What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week I will post a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word. The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.
This week: NIGHT
This is completely fictitious. I do not have any children, but I long to have them someday. :)

It was late in the evening, just before the sun began to set when I realized she was playing the violin again. The dissonance was unsteady and harsh, but I could hear that she was trying, picking up the pace with each strike of the instrument. She achieved her tone and began to play a piece that reminded me of pirates taking charge and rummaging through hand made treasure chests in search of valuable jewels. The music began to take a shift, as well as my creative story of a pirate’s life. The smooth, delicate sound ceased to a calm movement in my fairy tale, making me paint the waves of an ocean reaching for fine grains of sand; that was when I came to the conclusion that my daughter was a musical artist.
