What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week I will post a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word. The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.
This week: EXPLOSIVE
We had been running all evening, getting tangled in weeds, and fighting the mosquitoes that seemed to latch on to our skin. Nothing could slow us down, for we knew that the bombs that lay dormant underground were surrounding us. The deafening sound of explosions were everywhere and my heart felt weak with the thought of running another mile. We had no choice; the world was floundering and we had to find a way to escape. I let my spirit animal guide me through the forest and I began to draw an imaginary map that led me to finding a key.

A to Z Music Challenge - Your Thoughts?
So I have been contemplating on this creative activity for awhile ever since I saw the A to Z challenge blog post a few weeks back........Instead of writing a post everyday starting with a letter of the alphabet, why not do a music challenge? My creative juices have ran dry these last few weeks and I have not had the time or the energy to write anything that is worth reading! Music helps to dive deep into the brain and it creates a river of emotions - or at least it does for me. I was thinking about posting a song each week starting with the beginning of the alphabet. But here's the catch - the song must MEAN something to you. Does it describe who you are as a person? Does it remind you of someone? Is it a song that reminds you of your horrible night at your High School Prom?
If you like this idea, please leave me a comment below and we can start this music challenge next week! If you have any suggestions about it, please let me know! :)

Five Sentence Fiction - Tears
I am back from hibernating!! I have sadly haven't had the creative juice flow inside of me for awhile, as well as the time. I am glad to be back in the wonderful blogging world! This week's FSF is not my best work, but it's more about the emotion that is behind it.

This week: TEARS
The day was lengthy and hot – so muggy the trees in the forest could no longer breathe. The little girl went wandering in the woods to find some shade – a place of comfort and peace. Suddenly, the serene place was full of screams – trees falling, branches breaking; nothing but the sound of pain was echoing through the leaves. She heard people laughing with great strength and felt a deep sadness grow inside of her as if she were a tree herself. The roots that were plucked from the earth were now being removed from her.
