I've been wanting to join in on the blogfest activities for quite some time, but I just haven't had the moment to sit down and actually do it. Today, I am FINALLY going to do one!!

Diane has created a blogfest devoted to music and the emotion that it creates to help us writers write! Music is something that I am incredibly passionate about and most of the time I am listening to music as I am picking the wordy part of my brain. Here's a few that are my ultimate favorites -- some are not depressing, some are just moving. Do join in on the fun!!! :)

Song Pick - Happy Pills

I am sure many of us are guilty to have judged a book by its cover.....and title!! It can happen with songs as well. I first read about the song "Happy Pills" by Norah Jones and immediatly thought that was the end of her career. BUT, I am actually in love with this song at the moment. It's quirky and vibrant and it still shows her songwriting skills that I adore.
I'm going to spread the love to you all and share my happy pills!!! :)

Music Pick - Dido

Happy 2012 everyone! It feels great to be back. I am excited about this year, for this will be a beginning to all things! I thought I would start off the new year with my favorite tunes, for they do inspire me to write.

Dido is one of those singer/songwriters that you just adore no matter what the song is about. Her voice sends chills down my spine and her poetic lyrics fill the air with wonder. There are rumours that 2012 is her year, for she has been hard at work on her next album for the past two and a half years. I am excited to see what the year has in store for her as well as everyone! Cheers to 2012! :)

Music Pick ~ 9/11 Tribute

It is hard to believe that we are nearing the 10th anniversary of this horrific event. I wanted to post this video not just for the song, but for the people who lost their lives in this tragic moment in history. Please take a moment of silence and remember the victims and the victims families of September 11th, 2001.
